Double Degree Program

Double Degree Program with the Master’s in Numerical Methods in Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona

Double Degree Program

Students of the M.Sc. Computational Mechanics of Materials and Structures (COMMAS) at the University of Stuttgart have the opportunity to participate in a Double Degree Program with the Master in Numerical Methods in Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona.

The program enables selected students to complete part of their studies at UPC and benefit from the academic strengths of both institutions. Through exposure to different research environments, teaching approaches, and international networks, participants can deepen their expertise in computational engineering and broaden their professional perspectives.

The collaboration is designed to promote academic exchange and provide students with advanced training in numerical methods, computational mechanics, and related engineering disciplines. Graduates of the program gain valuable international experience and develop the competencies needed to address challenging problems in modern engineering and scientific computing.

COMMAS students interested in spending their second year at UPC within the framework of the Double Degree Program should contact the COMMAS Course Director no later than 15 March 2026. This deadline applies to expressions of interest and nominations for the upcoming academic year.
