Master Thesis Damage Modeling of Metals

We are looking for a new colleague in the simulation department at our location in Alfdorf.

In order to assess the integrity of parts and assemblies an accurate material model to predict failure is required and mandatory.

For the purpose of quasis-static loading a set of material tests has to be performed.

Based on the digital image correlation for the material testing and a postprocessing of the tests a reverse engineering step has to be conducted to fit the material parameters for the yield function and the damage parameters.

The correlated material models have to be tested to 3D parts in order to assess the integrity.
